not getting or recieving e-mail with yahoo?
I am very concerned because in the past few weeks there are multiple times that I have sent e-mails that others have not recieved, and times that I have been sent e-mails that I never got. There has never been an error message or e-mail bounce back. The e-mail is just gone out into cyberspace.
I have yahoo mail plus because I get my mail fowarded to Outlook Express. It doesn’t seem to make a difference if I’m sending e-mail from outlook or from yahoo, it doesn’t always make it.
Please help! I send a lot of e-mails. I write a newsletter and set up times to meet people for lunch or coffee and make plans via e-mail. I can’t have an unreliable e-mail. I’ve had this account for about 10 years.
Somewhere along the way, settings have become corrupt. You may try first with running a defrag of your drive, and running a REGISTRY CLEAN-UP Program.
Update and run your ANTI-VIRUS program, this can also be caused by a VIRUS in your system. If you’re using Outlook Express which pulls mail into your computer before you open it, there’s a chance you have a virus.
Frankly, unless you are on dial-up, I advise against using Outlook Express. Server-based e-mail is the way to go, it saves space on your computer, it is accessable from anywhere on the planet, and it’s a big plus to prevent you from inadvertantly pulling a virus into your computer.
E-Mail profiles become corrupt from time to time, you may try reloading your profile information for E-mail, if you’re on dial-up, your ISP will have a feature for reloading your user profile info quickly. This may do the trick.
Once you get this sorted out, please consider dumping Outlook, and keeping everything based on an outside server (like yahoo) which is free, and backed up so you will never lose anything.
I hope this helps.
